Bank of America has announced a three-year commitment to make up to 1,000 properties available to nonprofit organizations and local government programs that provide homes for injured military veterans and first responders.

Recently, two former service members were presented with keys to their new homes as part of Bank of America’s commitment to making homes available through nonprofits that provide housing for veterans. In Tucson, Army Specialist Eric Griego, injured while on duty in Afghanistan, his wife, also a military veteran, and 5-year-old daughter were the recipients of a home donated by Bank of America through the Military Warriors Support Foundation. And in San Antonio, retired Army Sgt. Matthew Sheffel and his five children are ready to move from a tiny cabin to a three-bedroom home in San Antonio, a gift from Bank of America through Operation Homefront. Sheffel served 12 years in the Army and was injured in Iraq.
