Since 2004, our Student Leaders® program has helped prepare high school students for the workforce by connecting them to skills development and leadership training. Through paid internships with local nonprofits like IRC and Utah STEM Action Center, they gain practical work and life experiences. It's just one more way we're working to build a better future for all.

We’re supporting our many partners here in Utah who are helping people—particularly our children and those in underserved communities—face unprecedented challenges. That means providing the resources needed to address the many demands being placed on both our physical and mental healthcare systems. We’re continuing to focus on helping those who are most vulnerable with housing assistance and employment services. For our Latino/Hispanic and other communities in need, we’re empowering entrepreneurs so they can succeed and build wealth. Plus, we’re working with educators in the areas of financial literacy and skills training to better prepare students for in-demand career paths.
New Pattern Utah, a grant and mentorship program, is cultivating a largely overlooked and underfunded group of business owners – Black women. Less than half a percent of venture capital funding goes to Black women. Yet Black women are founding businesses at more than twice the rate as all women entrepreneurs. The goal of New Pattern Utah is to improve those odds with direct access to capital and ongoing support, including seed funding, six months of consultations with mentors and coaches, and access to resources that can help Black women grow their businesses.
At Bank of America, we have a long-standing commitment to support economic opportunity for diverse people and communities. We are doing this by building upon our existing efforts and leveraging our strengths: creating more affordable housing and expanding home ownership, increasing lending and support to minority-owned small businesses, championing job training and career readiness and addressing health disparities like access to care. We continue to focus on working collaboratively across sectors to advance opportunities that will create real impact in the lives of individuals and for the communities we serve, using the past to inform our perspective and understanding as we tackle barriers within our communities.
At Bank of America, we believe in the power of the arts to help economies thrive, educate and enrich societies, and create greater cultural understanding. That’s why we’re helping the arts flourish in communities across the globe.

We're #1 in our industry and #1 for workers on the JUST Capital's 2024 Rankings of America's Most JUST Companies. **
Because of our investments in industry-leading programs and resources, and our commitment to helping teammates achieve their personal and professional goals, we were awarded the Grand Stevie Award for Organization of the Year. *
* The Stevie Awards recognize the achievements of businesses and professionals worldwide. Organizations self-nominate, providing data for various categories, and winners are determined by the average scores of more than 240 professionals worldwide serving as judges.
** For the annual Rankings, JUST Capital collects and analyzes corporate data to evaluate the 1,000 largest public U.S. companies across 20 issues identified through comprehensive, ongoing public opinion research on Americans' attitudes toward responsible corporate behavior. In determining the top 10 companies for workers, JUST Capital used its Workers Leaders Index which tracks the top 20% of companies in its annual Rankings that perform the best across the five worker related issues evaluated. https://justcapital.com
