Student Leaders

Since 2004, our Student Leaders® program has helped prepare high school students for the workforce by connecting them to skills development and leadership training. Through paid internships with local nonprofits like Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley, they gain practical work and life experiences. It's just one more way we're working to build a better future for all.

Let’s build something together

Now more than ever, we’re focused on helping address the barriers to sustainable employment here in Phoenix. That includes programs supporting our minority communities through a collaborative approach with nonprofits and local colleges. Initiatives are being funded to help expand the talent pipeline through internships, certificate programs and degree pathways. We are also committed to supporting nonprofits that focus solely on helping the homeless, disadvantaged and those facing other barriers to employment find jobs. Our support for small businesses has been steady and unwavering, especially through the health crisis, when we worked tirelessly to administer Paycheck Protection Program funds. We continue to support our amazing local nonprofits addressing hunger and homelessness to ensure our neighbors have what they need in times of need.

Charting a path for success for students in Phoenix

We've partnered with Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation (MCCF) to help remove barriers to employment and boost opportunities for students in Phoenix. MCCF recognizes the importance of ensuring that all students from all backgrounds have access to career paths in fields such as information technology, cybersecurity, business, healthcare and advanced manufacturing. To achieve this, they created a program to increase students’ success in degree and certification completion by providing a structured educational model for the Maricopa County Community College District.

Believing in the mission and supporting frontline workers

Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) applied a $500,000 grant from Bank of America to the Arizona COVID-19 Community Response Fund, which supports nonprofits working to offset the impact of the coronavirus on local communities. In a recent interview, Steve Seleznow, president and CEO of the ACF, discusses the foundation’s support for hundreds of nonprofits throughout Arizona.
