Offering the community
more ways to go

We're always looking for ways to support people's choices in the communities we serve. That's why Bank of America is adding charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) to over 90 financial centers nationwide. For our customers who are interested, we have financing for EVs and charging accessories. And we're also supporting the choices our teammates make with employee rebates on EVs.

Hear from Matthew Linski, President of Bank of America Kansas City, about our role in keeping Kansas City moving forward.

Let’s build something together

We've got a broad reach here in Kansas City and a community that comes together to support each other in times of need. As part of Bank of America's broader jobs initiative, we're supporting efforts to drive workforce development. That includes funding to address the shortage of healthcare workers through programs at our local community college and skills training through nonprofits for the unemployed and underemployed.

In addition, we support a long-standing initiative that prepares women to enter or re-enter the workforce through an all-encompassing curriculum—from skill-building to confidence-building.

And we're invested in one of Kansas City's most valuable small business resources that makes capital more accessible to entrepreneurs, and has provided relief and recovery funds to help them rebuild. Because the arts are a big part of how Kansas City comes together as a community, we took pride in continuing to fund programs when the health crisis hit, even though many were canceled. We also sponsored a “best of” public television broadcast created from multiple years of our city’s signature Memorial Day live symphony performance.

Expanding opportunity and strengthening communities in Kansas City

Kansas City nonprofits Bridging The Gap and Mattie Rhodes Center are two organizations working to address basic needs and invest in workforce training for individuals and families. For their efforts in the community, they were named 2021 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders®, receiving a $200,000 grant over two years, comprehensive leadership training for the executive director and an emerging leader and more.

A program to meet increasing demand for healthcare workers

A new Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) initiative at Kansas City’s Metropolitan Community College (MCC) is looking to create more opportunities for high-paying jobs in healthcare. The program, which provides an alternative path to four-year higher education, helps fulfill MCC’s mission in providing affordable educational options to the local community and also helps address local community needs around workforce opportunity.
