Student Leaders

Since 2004, our Student Leaders® program has helped prepare high school students for the workforce by connecting them to skills development and leadership training. Through paid internships with local nonprofits like Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati, they gain practical work and life experiences. It's just one more way we're working to build a better future for all.

Let’s build something together

Across the state of Ohio, Bank of America is focused on addressing the needs of our customers, clients, employees and communities. Each member of our team is here to listen and learn what is most important to our clients. And then we try to help them reach their goals. This past year has been extraordinarily challenging, but we continued to open new retail banking locations and hire talented people to serve our customers’ banking needs, all the while supporting our communities. We’ve partnered with nonprofits that help our neighbors most in need. We’ve provided personal protection equipment for first responders, frontline workers and others to ensure our communities’ safety. Workforce development and skill building, notably in communities of color, continues to be one of our primary areas of support, with career-pathway partnerships at local colleges and nonprofit organizations.

Fighting poverty with Job Readiness

For Cincinnati Works, helping individuals affected by poverty prepare for and earn a job is just the first step in helping them achieve economic self-sufficiency. In addition to their Job Readiness program, Cincinnati Works' range of support services provides lifelong services to its participants, including financial literacy coaching and additional training to continue to advance both personally and professionally, with a focus on breaking the cycle of generational poverty.

Helping Cincinnati shelters adapt fast

The YWCA of Greater Cincinnati, which runs two shelters for survivors of domestic violence, needed to adjust many aspects of their services in the face of the coronavirus. With creativity, determination and funds from federal programs as well as Bank of America, the YWCA was able to keep providing all of its critical support.
