We're committed to supporting our employees' health and safety and to addressing our local communities' most critical needs. That's why we've donated to local hunger-relief organizations on behalf of each employee who received a COVID-19 vaccine or booster and/or a flu shot.* In addition, employees are doubling the impact of their personal donations to fight hunger with our matching gifts program.
Through this effort, our team in Austin recently presented Central Texas Food Bank with a check for $25,000. We're proud to be able to help our community as we work together to move forward.

Hear from David Bader, President of Bank of America Austin, about our role in keeping Austin moving forward.
As President of Bank of America Austin, I get to focus on the business and societal issues affecting Central Texas. I oversee the bank’s work connecting individuals, families, and businesses to resources that make their financial lives better from San Marcos to Georgetown. Through social responsibility efforts, I’m charged with helping strengthen economic opportunity and building strong communities, which are essential to Austin’s recovery and growth. These efforts, like funding workforce development and education, partnering with organizations like Foundation Communities and PeopleFund, and providing masks to small businesses and child care workers allows us to all come together as neighbors and partners toward a better Austin.
Austin is emerging as one of technology’s most dynamic hubs, and many of the startups flourishing in and around the city are headed by women, Black and Hispanic-Latino founders. But these entrepreneurs often find that securing the early-stage capital they need can be an enormous barrier to success, which is why nonprofit DivInc makes direct grants to new tech companies with underrepresented founders.
As new businesses and jobs move to Austin, the need for affordable housing has only increased. To address the issue, several organizations in the Greater Austin area have been working on initiatives such as building homes for families in need, providing homebuyer counseling and education, and creating affordable communities that focus on green design elements.
At Bank of America, we believe in the power of the arts to help economies thrive, educate and enrich societies, and create greater cultural understanding. That’s why we’re helping the arts flourish in communities across the globe.
