Neighborhood Champions: a new addition to our signature philanthropic program

As part of Bank of America’s commitment to responsible growth, we invest in the communities we serve. We do this through programs and partnerships addressing complex societal challenges, such as economic mobility through investments in workforce development, basic needs and community growth.

In 2004, Bank of America launched the Neighborhood Builders® program to invest in communities through nonprofit organizations. Since inception, we’ve partnered with more than 1,000 nonprofits and helped over 2,000 organization leaders across the country create more sustainable communities.

Bank of America is proud to announce Neighborhood Champions as an extension of our signature philanthropic program. This is an invitation-only program for nonprofits who are poised to take their work to the next level while delivering meaningful results in their communities.

The Neighborhood Champions program supports the role strong nonprofit leaders play in advancing economic mobility. In 2019, we introduced the program to more than 40 communities across the U.S., working closely with leaders in each local community. Each Neighborhood Champion receives a $50,000 grant award and access to virtual leadership training delivered by experts in the nonprofit sector.
