Leading Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Music City

Tyson Moore has been with Merrill Lynch for 20 years, most recently as complex director for the Nashville, Memphis and Little Rock offices. In February 2017, he added Bank of America Nashville president to his resume and has spent the past year juggling both roles while maintaining his most important job of being a dedicated husband and father. He recently sat down with The Nashville Business Journal to discuss how he balances both his work and family life.

His advice includes having a daily routine, raising your children with patience and love and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Moore transferred to Nashville to take on his role as Merrill Lynch complex director in 2012, and since moving to the Music City, Moore and his wife have had two children. From exploring local restaurants to picnicking with their kids in Percy Warner Park, they have grown fond of what the city has to offer young families.

As Nashville market president for Bank of America, Moore is responsible for coordinating the bank’s lines of business across middle Tennessee and leading its environmental, social and governance work in the market.

Beyond his family and work responsibilities, Moore is a dedicated member of the Nashville community. He is a recipient of the distinguished David Brady Award, which is reflective of not only his achievements at Merrill Lynch, but also his involvement in the community. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Nashville Public Library Foundation and actively volunteers with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest Food Bank and Safe Haven Family Shelter.
