As the economy begins to improve across San Francisco and the East Bay, it’s important to help our most vulnerable populations such as seniors, disabled adults and the formerly homeless be able to afford to still call the Bay Area ‘home.’

Let’s build something together

As President of Bank of America San Francisco-East Bay, I get to partner with organizations such as Working Solutions to help Small Businesses in the Bay Area. I oversee the bank’s work connecting individuals, families, and businesses to resources that make their financial lives better from San Francisco to the East Bay. I’m also charged with helping strengthen economic opportunity and build strong communities through social responsibility efforts, which as we know are absolutely essential to San Francisco and the East Bay at this time. These initiatives, like funding critical mental health support, partnering with San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, and supporting workforce development and education allow us to all come together as neighbors and partners toward a better San Francisco and the East Bay.

A collaborative model for improving community healthcare

San Francisco's largest public hospital has developed a ground-breaking interdisciplinary approach to help patients who deal with both homelessness and mental health issues. Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center has a well-earned reputation for addressing health emergencies with inventive solutions and empathetic care. To address the present situation, they have introduced an interdisciplinary approach to delivering mental health and addiction care to hard-to-reach populations.

Giving more kids a chance to attend college

Since its founding in 1981, the mission of the nonprofit 10,000 Degrees has been to help Bay Area students from low-income backgrounds enroll in and graduate from college. Operating in seven counties, including Marin, Sonoma and most recently Napa, 10,000 Degrees is focused on helping students from low-income families. Through partnerships with more than 20 local high schools in Marin and Sonoma counties, 10,000 Degrees guides high-school seniors and their families through the college selection, application and financial aid process, for both four-year and community colleges.
