Gives STL Day receives a gift from Bank of America

Bank of America’s St. Louis leadership team hand delivered 14 workforce development and education grants on Give STL Day. The grants amounted to more than $200,000.

The 27 nonprofits in the St. Louis metro area that received the bank’s grants included Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center and Teach for America.

Give STL Day is run by the St. Louis Community Foundation, and is a 24-hour online giving event. During the day, people log on to the foundation’s site and give $10 or more to local nonprofits in the region. Matching prizes are also given.

Bank of America’s philanthropic investments focus on strengthening the economic health of communities. The bank partners with local nonprofits and organizations around the world to help support the pressing issues facing communities.

In 2015, the bank provided more than $200 million in global philanthropic investments to more than 3,000 nonprofits, including cash giving and in-kind donations.
