Let’s build something together

As President of Bank of America Atlanta, I am proud of the work we have done to help people succeed by offering financial know-how, stimulating economic opportunity, and addressing racial inequalities. I oversee the bank’s work connecting individuals, families, and businesses to resources that make their financial lives better from Atlanta to Gainesville. I’m also charged with helping strengthen economic opportunity and build strong communities through social responsibility efforts, which as we know are absolutely essential to Atlanta at this time. These initiatives, like funding critical medical supplies, partnering with Grove Park Foundation, supporting affordable housing, workforce development and education allow us to all come together as neighbors and partners toward a better Atlanta. We will continue to reinforce our commitment in helping the Atlanta community thrive through investments in affordable housing, education, career skills training, health and support to small businesses – especially for communities of color that have experienced the greatest impact from the health crisis.

Helping students—and a city—thrive

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) provides its graduates with an education that can launch them into growing fields with secure jobs. By building this workforce, the school aims to strengthen Atlanta’s economic base. ATC is committed to underrepresented communities — 88% of its 5,000 students are Black and 5% are Hispanic-Latino. Its curriculum emphasizes subjects with promising career paths: cybersecurity, health care and information technology, among others. Nearly nine out of 10 students find jobs in their fields of study. ATC is one of 21 higher education institutions receiving $1 million grants from Bank of America to boost job skills for Black and Hispanic-Latino students.

Advancing racial equality and economic opportunity for minority entrepreneurs

Decades of disinvestment have overshadowed the vibrant history, culture and spirit of the Sweet Auburn Historic District, once known as the commercial, cultural and spiritual center for Black communities. Sweet Auburn Works, a nonprofit dedicated to the revitalization of the district is committed to preserving, promoting and revitalizing its commercial and cultural legacy.

** For the annual Rankings, JUST Capital collects and analyzes corporate data to evaluate the 1,000 largest public U.S. companies across 20 issues identified through comprehensive, ongoing public opinion research on Americans' attitudes toward responsible corporate behavior. In determining the top 10 companies for workers, JUST Capital used its Workers Leaders Index which tracks the top 20% of companies in its annual Rankings that perform the best across the five worker related issues evaluated. https://justcapital.com
