Bank of America hosted 50 veterans and their families at Gillette Stadium on November 3 for the New England Patriots’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The event was made possible through the long-standing partnership between Bank of America, the Red Sox Foundation and Operation Home Base, a program focused on helping Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families heal from the invisible wounds of war – post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
After going onto the field before the game, the veterans and their families enjoyed watching the Patriots secure a 55-31 win over the Steelers from one of the stadium’s suites. Participants were joined by Home Base Executive Director and Retired Brigadier General Jack Hammond, Bank of America Massachusetts President Bob Gallery and The Kraft Group CEO Robert Kraft.
Bank of America is also the presenting sponsor of Operation Home Base’s Veterans Day Forum and Dinner. The Forum, which brings together thought leaders in the healthcare, military, business, policy, political and philanthropy communities, is designed to address the challenges facing returning veterans their families. The event will provide an opportunity to honor and learn more about the soldiers and their families who have served and scarified for our nation.
