Ron D. Sturzenegger | Legacy Asset Servicing Executive
Ron D. Sturzenegger is Legacy Asset Servicing executive for Bank of America and is a member of the company’s executive management team. In this role, Sturzenegger leads the bank’s efforts to provide solutions to customers in need of mortgage assistance, including borrower outreach and the delivery of home retention, short sale and deed in lieu solutions. He also oversees the company’s foreclosure and bankruptcy processes, mortgage servicing portfolio strategy and the resolution of residential mortgage representation and warranties repurchase claims.
Previously, Sturzenegger served as managing director and global head of Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging Corporate and Investment Banking for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to that role, he was head of the Real Estate and Lodging groups at Bank of America since 2001. In that role, he was responsible for corporate and investment banking client activities in the real estate, REITs, lodging and leisure, and homebuilding sectors. Sturzenegger first joined Bank of America in July 1998 as a managing director and head of Real Estate and Lodging Mergers and Acquisitions.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Sturzenegger was a principal at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for Western Region Real Estate Investment Banking. His tenure with the firm also included time spent as head of European Real Estate Investment Banking and other various roles in New York and Los Angeles.
Sturzenegger is a member of The Real Estate Roundtable and a trustee of the Urban Land Institute. He also serves on the board of governors for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and on the policy advisory board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics.
