The 2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) recognized Bank of America as a leading company on its World and North America Indices for Corporate Social Responsibility. This marks the third year in a row the bank has been listed to the North America Index.
Led by the S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index is a global ranking that’s based on an evaluation of a company’s economic, environmental and social performance. DJSI World considers the 2,500 largest companies of the S&P Global Broad Market Index and compiles the final index with a selection of the top 10% in terms of sustainability in each industry. The 2015 World Index includes 317 companies.
“Bank of America’s inclusion in the DJSI is a reflection of our ongoing work to embed responsible business practices across our company, from our policies and practices to our services, products, governance and employee benefits,” noted Andrew Plepler, Environmental, Social and Governance Executive. “Partnerships in the public, private and nonprofit sectors, committed to positive social and environmental change, play an integral role in this effort.”
