We're committed to supporting our employees' health and safety and to addressing our local communities' most critical needs. That's why we've donated to local hunger-relief organizations on behalf of each employee who received a COVID-19 vaccine or booster and/or a flu shot.* In addition, employees are doubling the impact of their personal donations to fight hunger with our matching gifts program.
Through this effort, our team in Tampa Bay recently presented Feeding Tampa Bay with a check for $80,000. We're proud to be able to help our community as we work together to move forward.

Hear from Bill Goede, President of Bank of America Tampa Bay, about our role in keeping Tampa Bay moving forward.
Here in Tampa Bay, Bank of America is focused on taking care of our customers, clients, employees and community. Throughout the unprecedented challenges of the past year, we’ve helped support nonprofits who feed those in need, and provided personal protection equipment to vulnerable populations and the organizations serving them. We’ve successfully adapted to the remote banking needs of our customers to serve them in flexible, responsive and safe ways. We continue to strive to achieve racial equality in the workforce by working with nonprofits in our community providing grants and funding for people of color to accelerate skill-building and create access to better jobs with livable wages. We’ll continue to do all we can to increase economic opportunity and mobility for our all of our neighbors.
To help fuel economic opportunity in the Tampa Bay community, St. Petersburg College is working to connect talent supply with industry demand. Their program is targeted toward the job placement of students who are near the end of their educational pathway, focusing on students of color and those struggling financially to achieve their career goals. To prepare these students for in-demand roles, they help them to develop the skills needed to obtain high-demand careers while also connecting them to successful career opportunities.
The coronavirus has placed a strain on American businesses, and that strain has been felt disproportionately by those in majority Black neighborhoods. To help, the Pinellas County Urban League is working to strengthen and protect minority-owned small businesses in the county through economic development programs and business owner training programs.
At Bank of America, we believe in the power of the arts to help economies thrive, educate and enrich societies, and create greater cultural understanding. That’s why we’re helping the arts flourish in communities across the globe.
