Hurricane Irma and Harvey relief

Our thoughts are with the communities impacted by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey. We’re working with clients, teammates and communities to ensure recovery and economic progress.

What we’re doing for our clients

  • We can help any clients experiencing distress. Assistance is available to impacted clients regardless of their locations. This support could include fee refunds, home loan and other credit assistance for those impacted.
  • Mobile financial centers and mobile ATMs have been deployed to supplement financial centers in the impacted regions.
  • We’re using our online and social media channels (including, @BofA_News and Facebook) to inform clients about financial center availability and direct them to our financial center and ATM locator.

What we’re doing for our teammates

  • We’ve worked to ensure the safety and security of our employees, and we’re offering a variety of support programs to help those impacted, including grants from our Employee Relief Fund and assistance from our Life Event Services team.

What we’re doing for communities affected by Irma and Harvey

  • Bank of America and our employees have committed more than $3.6M to support relief efforts related to the hurricanes.
    • We’ve directed $2 million in funding from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation in support of communities impacted by Hurricane Irma and Harvey and subsequent flooding. This includes a total of $500,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to support immediate shelter needs; the remainder of funds will be allocated as we learn more about impacts and recovery needs.
    • Our employees have contributed more than $850,000 in charitable donations which we are doubling through our matching gifts program for a combined impact of more than $1.7M in disaster relief support. We’ve also lowered the minimum amount eligible for a matching gift in order to extend the impact of employee giving.
