Working toward an improved, inclusive world

Our long-standing commitment to diversity and inclusion extends from the individuals with intellectual disabilities working on our Support Services team to our communities, where our products and services create opportunities. In addition, our Special Olympics partnership empowers athletes to achieve their goals through leadership, employment and skills-building. See how we create opportunities, develop partnerships, and provide advocacy in the workplace and the world.

A strong partnership with Special Olympics

Special Olympics uses the transformative power of sports to show that when we embrace inclusion there is no limit to what we can achieve together.

Bank of America has partnered with Special Olympics for over 40 years, supporting leadership and empowerment on the field and providing opportunities for economic advancement off the field. It’s rewarding to witness the positive impact on so many individuals and their families.  It’s also inspiring to see the barriers and odds that are overcome every day.

Our Support Services team

We believe it’s important to understand and advocate for the three million people in the U.S. with intellectual disabilities, both as our employees and as part of our communities. Inside our company, the Support Services division employs 300 employees with intellectual disabilities to do marketing and fulfillment operations. From the team's inception to the department it has grown to today, our colleagues continually show their capacity for making a meaningful contribution while becoming financially stable, successful members of their communities.

On an even broader scale, we have collaborated with partners like the National Disability Institute (NDI) to help people with disabilities and their families achieve economic security. From courses on basic financial skills at Better Money Habits® to tax preparation services to help with job placement, we support nonprofits who are shifting public perception and enabling individuals with disabilities to participate fully in our economy.
