In response to the feedback we’ve received from partners on the critical need to help women access capital in order to build their businesses, we’ve announced a $10 million investment with Calvert Foundation to fund enterprises that address some of the biggest challenges that women face, including access to finance. The investment will reach women in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe. This commitment builds on what we’ve done in the U.S. through our Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) partnerships and expands our global focus. We currently invest more than $1 billion in more than 240 CDFIs in all 50 states as well as Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. Through our strategic partnerships and investments, we’re connecting women to the human, social and financial capital that they need to maximize their economic potential, enrich their lives and those of their families and communities, creating stronger economies around the world.
