The power to have a voice

While she hails from Texas, Special Olympics Sargent Shriver International Global Messenger, Renee Manfredi, is a lifelong Boston Red Sox Fan. In this video, Renee shares how Special Olympics helped her find her voice.

She recently visited with our Support Services team – a group of individuals with intellectual disabilities who provide services core to Bank of America’s businesses – and shared how Special Olympics helps put individuals on the literal and figurative playing field by focusing on what they are able to achieve.

Through her involvement with Special Olympics, Renee has gained a sense of purpose and empowerment, and with Bank of America’s support, she achieved her dream of singing the National Anthem at Fenway Park.

Bank of America has been a proud supporter of Special Olympics for over 30 years including support for the Athlete Leadership program as well as the Sargent Shriver International Global Messenger program.
