Since 2004, our Student Leaders® program has helped prepare high school students for the workforce by connecting them to skills development and leadership training. We're proud of the multicultural heritages that make our communities so unique. That's why, when the Native American population was hit particularly hard by the health crisis, we took action. To meet their needs, and the needs of those in other low-income areas, we partnered with organizations to deliver meals and stock food banks. Masks, gloves and hand sanitizers were donated to help stop the spread. We also directed funds to nonprofits to help focus on the job-related needs in Hispanic and Native American communities. We provided capital and consumer loans for small businesses, as well as for affordable housing, community facilities, schools and healthcare clinics.
Through support from our Progresando initiative, Central New Mexico Community College is expanding education and employment opportunities for Hispanic adults in health careers by training, upskilling and reskilling the local Hispanic healthcare workforce. The college will be able to increase the number of Hispanic adults in the healthcare workforce while also increasing their job flexibility and advancing economic success, working with more than 400 students within two years of launching the program.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico’s paid internship program empowers teenagers to not only gain professional experience and learn essential workforce skills, but also to manage their money wisely. The interns learn about budgeting, saving and building credit as part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to partner with area nonprofits to share its free Better Money Habits education platform, a financial education resource aimed at helping individuals, families and young people gain financial know-how and resiliency.
At Bank of America, we believe in the power of the arts to help economies thrive, educate and enrich societies, and create greater cultural understanding. That’s why we’re helping the arts flourish in communities across the globe.

Because of our investments in industry-leading programs and resources, and our commitment to helping teammates achieve their personal and professional goals, we were awarded the Grand Stevie Award for Organization of the Year. *
* The Stevie Awards recognize the achievements of businesses and professionals worldwide. Organizations self-nominate, providing data for various categories, and winners are determined by the average scores of more than 240 professionals worldwide serving as judges.
** For the annual Rankings, JUST Capital collects and analyzes corporate data to evaluate the 1,000 largest public U.S. companies across 20 issues identified through comprehensive, ongoing public opinion research on Americans' attitudes toward responsible corporate behavior. In determining the top 10 companies for workers, JUST Capital used its Workers Leaders Index which tracks the top 20% of companies in its annual Rankings that perform the best across the five worker related issues evaluated. https://justcapital.com
