Film Fest Attendees Help Raise Over $200,000 to Support the Global Fund

Bank of America joined (RED) for the EAT (RED) FOOD & FILM FEST! on June 20 at Bryant Park. Guests helped raise over $200,000 while enjoying a special screening of Sleepless in Seattle in Bryant Park. Ticketholders were also treated to the ultimate picnic dinner curated by Mario Batali with dishes designed by Mario Batali, Ina Garten, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Danny Bowien and Angie Mar. The event had a festive tone, with ticketholders receiving free beverages and a picnic tote, complete with a blanket from Bank of America.

100% of proceeds from the sale of every $100 ticket directly supported the Global Fund to Fight AIDS. Bank of America matched the price of each ticket, doubling the impact. It’s all part of our seven-year, $20 million commitment to support (RED)’s fight against AIDS through 2020. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation also matched the price of each ticket 4:1. The result was $600 to the AIDS fight for each ticket purchased.
