Meeting the growing demand for a square meal

How Bank of America and Feeding America® are partnering to help provide food to people in need

Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization with a network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs, has seen an average increase of 70% in the need for food assistance across the country, much of it coming from people who have never sought help before.

In the above video, Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot talks about the organization’s mission, the extraordinary measures food banks are taking to keep the community safe and what is required to provide help to the increasing number of Americans struggling with food insecurity.

Bank of America is supporting Feeding America with a $1 million donation. The bank has also committed $15 million in local grants to its network food banks. It’s all part of Bank of America’s $100 million grant program in support of local communities, which is in addition to the $250 million in philanthropy the company provides annually.
