We have a long history of supporting underserved communities across Delaware, from employee volunteerism to grants to matching gifts. To address the underlying issues facing communities of color affected disproportionately by the health crisis, we partnered with nonprofits and healthcare organizations to help distribute hundreds of thousands of masks, medications and other supplies. We’re funding workforce development programs across the state, from nonprofits to local community colleges to a well-respected HBCU, to help students expand their skillsets and prepare for high-paying and in-demand careers. This collaborative approach will expand the diverse talent pipeline as students pursue their careers. Now more than ever, we’re committed to making Delaware a great place for people to live and work.
Despite the individual and social benefits of a college degree, for many Black and Latino-Hispanic individuals, higher education opportunities remain stubbornly out of reach. Delaware State University is delivering a career-focused curriculum to help Black and Hispanic-Latino students find better jobs, change their career trajectory and help their families and communities.
From employing individuals with disabilities to engaging employees through advocacy and volunteerism and ensuring our products and services are accessible, we’re committed to diversity and inclusion. Our Support Services team, operating out of Wilmington and other offices across the country, an is an in-house marketing and fulfillment operation made up of 300 employees with intellectual disabilities, who support every major line of business within the enterprise.
At Bank of America, we believe in the power of the arts to help economies thrive, educate and enrich societies, and create greater cultural understanding. That’s why we’re helping the arts flourish in communities across the globe.
