In response to the tragedy in Orlando, Bank of America and its employees are supporting affected community members. The Bank of America Charitable Foundation is donating $300,000 to the OneOrlando Fund whose mission is to support nonprofit organizations serving victims and their families, as well as broader lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT), Hispanic and faith communities among other groups.
In addition, Bank of America is encouraging employees to consider donating to nonprofit organizations providing support to the Orlando community and has lowered the minimum donation eligible for its matching gift program, with no limit on number of employee gifts, in order to increase the impact of employee donations. (Employees may direct up to $5,000 in matching gifts annually to eligible nonprofit organizations.)
The following organizations are assisting in healing and recovery:
• OneOrlando Fund — The purpose of the Fund is to provide much needed support to the victims of the Pulse tragedy and their families.
• Orlando Health Foundation — benefitting the Orlando Regional Medical Center’s Level One Trauma Center, first responders and front line medical team.
We will continue to monitor community needs in the months to come.
Our commitment to diversity and inclusion
We support the LGBT community in the communities where we work and live through a broad range of programs and resources. These include our recent corporate support of the Ad Council’s Love Has No Labels campaign, and our efforts to support our LGBT teammates.
