Hard at Work in Maryland

Bank of America began serving Maryland more than 200 years ago. The Farmers Bank of Maryland was established in 1805 to provide credit to farmers and eventually expanded into providing financing for warehoused goods, which enabled its clients to grow more rapidly. It evolved into Maryland National Bank, which joined the Bank of America family in 1993. Today, Bank of America is one of the nation’s largest financial institutions and provides services to half of all American households.
