We believe young people deserve a chance at a great future, regardless of the community they grow up in. Yet today, more than 15 million kids are home without adult supervision after school and one in four kids won’t graduate on time, undermining their chance to succeed. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America to support their Great Futures Campaign: the Campaign for America’s Kids.
Boys & Girls Clubs provides our youth with a place to go after school, offering high-impact, affordable programs and caring adult mentorship, giving kids an opportunity to learn and grow. The Great Futures Campaign aims to raise awareness about the critical role of out-of-school time and mobilize our country around the major issues facing America’s youth—such as high school dropout rate, childhood obesity and youth violence. The campaign also encourages kids to make healthy lifestyle decisions and be engaged citizens involved in their communities.
This partnership is part of our broader effort to empower the next generation of young people and set them on a path to a great future. Helping build a generation of youth that have the education and skills to secure their future success is critical to our communities, our business and ultimately our global competitiveness as a country.
