Arts for all ages

On the second Sunday of every month, hundreds of families converge at the Minneapolis Institute of Art to create works of art, participate in art-themed scavenger hunts in the various galleries, and enjoy entertainment from local musicians, dancers, and storytellers as a part of the museum’s Family Days.

Family Days, sponsored by Bank of America, is one of the Minneapolis Institute of Art’s signature programs and provides free, accessible, and engaging arts experiences for more than 40,000 people annually.

Family Day is one way we can help to give families an experience where they can connect and learn about art and have a lot of fun at the same time.

This interactive event brings art to life in exciting and accessible ways for children and adults alike. It provides quality opportunities and cultural experiences for families to spend creative time together in a unique artistic atmosphere.

The best part of the program? It’s free!

“Bank of America is committed to making art accessible in our communities,” said Katie Simpson, Minneapolis/St. Paul market president for Bank of America. “Family Day is one way we can help to give families an experience where they can connect and learn about art and have a lot of fun at the same time. The Minneapolis Institute of Art is an amazing art museum, and we are so proud to have the opportunity to partner with them.”

Bank of America believes the arts can bring people together and boost local economies. In addition to local programs like Family Days, the bank also supports free entry to museums across the country for cardholders through Museums on Us, art preservation through the Art Conservation Project, and loans out works from the bank’s private collection through Art in Our Communities.
